The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) compiles the student’s result in the form of result grade card. The university publish the IGNOU Grade Card for all programmes such as MBA, B.Com, BA, B.Ed, M.Ed, M.Phil, P.hD, BCA, B.Sc., MA, BSW, MSW, MCA, M.Sc., M.Com, Certificates, Diploma etc. It is mostly updated twice or thrice in an academic session. Firstly, it is updated after submission of assignment work by the students and then after declaration of Term End Examination result. The student grade card is also updated after the declaration of revaluation result if any student apply for it. If you do not find your result status updated even after 10-20 days of exams, then you can contact  your respective regional centre or study centre.

It is very easy to read your IGNOU score card as it consists of four sections : Term End Theory marks, Assignment marks, Practical marks and Status.  For some programmes, the marks are assigned in the form of grades (A,B,C,D,E) and for others it is available in numeric. If any student has “E” grade for any course in his or her score card, then he will be considered as “Failed”. Also, the status will be shown as “Not Completed”  in the status section of that course. There are many websites on the internet who provides IGNOU Grade Card Calculator to calculate percentage for the particular programme.
